More tracks that got away…

In order to protect the artists, and myself, the music I play is "podsafe" which means that the artist has agreed I should play their tunes for free, and I don’t have to pay royalties at any time. I always ask permission first. Sometimes artists (or their management) never respond to my requests.
I usually keep trying but some great tracks eventually fall through the cracks and I can’t play them. So if you’re
in a mood to do the "old fashioned" download method then check these out…..

Enjoy

Pete

One of the great things about the 2005/2006 music scene has been the rise of the Sheffield bands. The Arctic Monkeys have obviously been very successful, but there are lot of other unsigned bands up there and on this show we’re going to play homage to a few of them.

PCP#12 – New Psychadelia Showcase

PC Podcast 12 – The New Pyschadelia revoution (part 1).

This "showcase" podcast focuses on the music of the "third psychalielica revolution". If you’ve listened to this podcast before you’ll have heard tracks from the Bavarian Druglords, but they, and many other bands are now brought together on a new compilation by Northern Star Records. Proceeds from the compilation will be used to fund great new EPs and launch the careers of some great new bands, so if you like what you hear, then pop over to the Northern Star website and pickup a copy and keep the music flowing (I have!).

We Are Now, by The Electric Mainline, London, England. Scott, who plays in the band, is also the co-founder (along with Ollie) of Northern Star Records, who have released the album. So we have them to thank for many of these folks getting their first record release.

They have released at least 12 albums, and a huge volume of tracks can be found on their website. Doctor Told Me, by The Shrills, Porland, Oregon. USA. Ben, Brent, Lance and Charlotte live together in communal bliss behind the ivy covered walls of the legendary Gladstone Manor.

I’m raising money for a Children’s Cancer Charity.

Between Friday 27th and 29th September a bunch of us will be Swooving for 40 hours for 40 different charities.

I shall be Swooving for 10 hours and my chosen charity is Chestnut Tree House, which provides care for children and young people with life-shortening conditions, and their families.

To Swoove means to Sing, Whoop and Move. It’s a great physical and mental excercise and keeps me sane in an otherwise insane world.

If you have heard my podcasts, and have a couple of pounds, dollars, euros, or any other currency spare then please consider donating HERE to the cause. The last time I asked for sponorship was back in 2013, so I don’t ask everyday.

THANK YOU!
