Real Deal by Honeyglaze
I saw Honeyglaze for the second time. The first time was some 18 months ago. My, they have matured and exude confidence. As does their latest album, which I highly recommend.
Iceland Airwaves 2024
One day I will have the money and the inclination to go to Iceland Airwaves. It always looks to be so amazing and be able to see so many excellent Icelandic bands.
This year many acts I’ve seen were there… Bar Italia, Benefits, Lambrini Girls, Lynks & Opus Kink. But I would absolutely love to have seen K.ola & Hjalmar and find lots of my next new favourite bands.
In the meantime I’ll just enjoy the playlist…
Night Reign by Arooj Aftab
Having seen Arooj Aftab at Mutations Festival I can recommend this album highly.
Qasr by Sheherazaad
Having seen Sheherazaad and her band perform at the Mutations Festival I’m been bewitched by this beautiful album. She played more tracks than were on this album so there will be more tracks to come soon as well. I’ll keep you posted.

I love this Danish artist K.ola. She’s got some great albums on the Icelandic netlabel post-dreifing. This is her latest. Give it a listen.
