Well…. it was an amazing weekend Zumba-ing! 185 people registered, plus there was a great support team or timekeepers, witnesses, food providers, sponsors and general hangers on, but it was all worth it. We’ll know by the end of October whether Guinness have accepted it’s a world record, but even without that title we will have raised over $14,000 for the hospice. I managed 11.5 hours, but a select few did the whole 36.6 hours. Just awesome!

Congratulation Codge and all the team. That really is quite an achievement.
I know from a good friend’s recent experience, what an amazing job hospices do in combining clinical care with dignity, respect and even fun during the last weeks of life.
Cheers old bean!
Was a rather fun experience, I can tell you. There’s life in the old dog yet!
Mind you, spending the night getting hot and sweaty with a bunch of scantily clad young ladies is not something to be sneezed at!
Oh dear, dear, dear…..
Congratulations, and I’m super impressed you did it for 11.5 hours when you’d been hoping to finish 9. Did you do it all in a row or did you take a break in there somewhere? either way, awesome job, and I was happy to see you met your original target (and then some)
Hi Nigel,
I managed 9 hours in one go from 11pm until 8:35am (including some short breaks) on the Saturday and was pretty exhausted. On Sunday I started at 9:45pm and went through until 1:20am and I amazed myself by having a second wind.
I think the whole vibe of the event was just so amazing that it kept us going. Esther (the instructor and organizer) was just so tired at the end of it.
That said, she’s back at work tomorrow and I’m off to her first class. Can’t wait!
That bloke: he’s a nutter!
All the best and thanks for much for sponsoring me!
